Basique Mod 1.0.1

I've been playing Minecraft for years, and there are things I've missed since the very beginning. Listening to the radio in a minecart. Not finding my chests empty on a server. Finding my base without spending twenty minutes looking for it. I got tired of waiting, so I coded them.

I really like Mojang's work. But the direction the game has taken over the past few years disappoints me, and it's hard for me not to see Microsoft's hand in it more than the devs'. This mod is my small answer to that.

What's inside

The Radio is, for me, the heart of the mod. You get in a minecart or on a horse, and NRJ or Skyrock starts playing live. With a noteblock and a wireless signal, the whole base listens to the same thing at the same time, and it really changes the mood when you play with friends.

On a server, a chest now belongs to whoever placed it. Others have to ask you before opening it. You can also give it a name and an icon, which saved me the day I had thirty chests in a row. It's all explained on the Chest protection page.

Named chests, each with its own icon

For trading between players, there's the shop chest: you set your prices, and people buy even when you're offline. And if you dig deep enough, you might run into the Miner villager, who sells enchanted pickaxes you can't find anywhere else.

There are also Waypoints so you don't get lost, a Mailbox to leave messages, and 1.8 PvP for those who miss spam clicking.

The nights

Hard mode didn't scare me anymore. Once you have armor and a base, not much happens. So every 100 days, there's now a Blood moon: the sky turns red and hordes come at you until morning.

The blood moon night

Zombies can also infect you. If you get bitten, you switch sides and have to hunt your friends to eat.

The rest

Cows make Cow dung, and you can throw it. Some of it hides a Psilocybe cubensis, a mushroom that messes with your sight, your hearing and your sense of time.

I also redid the multiplayer menu and the death screen, added a Killcam and death screen, brightness that goes up to 200%, a world with no blocks, skeletons that sit down and a few other small things. It's all in the wiki.

The mod is on Modrinth and CurseForge, and the installation guide explains how to install it. Feel free to tell me what you think.
