Shop chest

Too many iron ingots, not enough golden apples? Instead of shouting in chat, open a shop. Other players buy from it like from a villager, with the same interface, and you get paid without moving.

Setting it up

Place the chest: the shop registers in your name ("Shop registered in your name!"). Open it, and the interface has two tabs.

"Offers" tab

1. Pick up an item from your inventory.
2. Click a green slot to say "I sell this", or an orange slot to say "I want this in exchange".
3. Adjust the amounts: left click for +1, right click for −1, Shift + click to clear the slot.

An offer only exists when both slots are filled. Otherwise the interface warns you: "No price" or "No item".

"Stock" tab

This is your stock. Shift + click an item in your inventory to send it straight there. The interface works out how many sales you can still make: "12 sale(s) possible with the stock". When an offer has nothing left to sell, it switches to Sold out and tells you which item to restock.

A name, an icon

Call your shop "Jaune's Place": the name shows above the chest. For the icon, click with an item on your cursor, or with an empty hand to keep the chest.

Security

Nobody but the owner can break the shop: "This shop belongs to X. You cannot break it."
